This page will be dedicated to the local bird club I have joined, when I first spoke to Jeff Attwood he informed my
about meetings that are held once a month at Kingskerswell My local club, it is called the Torbay Budgerigar & Foreign Bird Society, on my first visit there I was made very welcome by all the members, they give lots of good advice
and had a speaker from up country who was very informative. The next month there was a bird show, Jeff said
I should put some birds in myself just to get an idea of how things worked I did and needless to say did not do very well as all the other birds where of a much higher quality, I was not surprised but even so I really enjoyed the participation and learning what the judges are looking for. To my surprise one of the members ‘George’ gave
me a stunning young grey cock, here I must say a very big thank you to George I have the bird at home now
and he is so lovely not just in size and colour but in his calm nature, I feel more able to handle him than any
of my own birds I can not wait to breed him, again thank you George. There is another bird show on the
23rd Sept 07 I have 3 birds to enter and although they may not win anything I am really looking forward
to the whole day.
